Spang Power Electronics Announces Ethernet/IP™ ODVA
Conformance Certification and Release of Product Shipments.
Mentor, Ohio, February 17, 2010 –
- Spang Power Electronics, an innovator and
industry leader in power control and conversion technology, has
successfully achieved ODVA conformance certification for its 850
and 950 Series Digital Power Controllers’ Ethernet/IP™ network interfaces.
ODVA oversees the standards and application of the open network technologies based on the Common Industrial
Protocol (CIP™). It offers conformance testing and oversees product compliance with the CIP™ network specifications
to ensure a common network interface for these products. Spang’s 850 and 950 communications interface was rigorously
tested by ODVA and certified compliant. With this certification, Spang now begins global shipments to its product and
system customers for a variety of industrial applications.
Spang’s extensive 850 and 950 Series network interface options now include Ethernet/IP™, Ethernet Modbus TCP,
