Spang Power Electronics, a division of Spang & Company, has reviewed Section 1502 of H.R. 4173 – Conflict Minerals. We recognize the seriousness of products containing conflict minerals originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the responsibility placed on our organization as well as our customers and supply chain partners to provide equipment that is “DRC conflict free.” As a privately held organization, Spang has no direct obligation to participate in this initiative, however, understanding the requirement, we will work diligently to aid our customers with documentation as it becomes available.
Spang has currently surveyed its suppliers and is in the process of collecting responses with regards to Section 1502. As more information becomes available in the coming months, Spang will update the status of its products to our customers upon request.
