Spang Power Electronics, a manufacturer of power control systems, has positions available at its Sandy Lake, PA facility (70 miles north of Pittsburgh) for a Wire Person. The position will involve determining the component layout and wiring arrangement, assembling and wiring panel, and analyzing drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install components and circuits. Applicants must be experienced in electrical wiring and capable of reading schematics and blue prints. Two or more years of electrical wiring experience is necessary. An associate’s degree in Electrical Technology is a plus. Due to business growth and expanding opportunities in the Asian & European marketplace, Spang Power Electronics is seeking to fill the position of Field Sales Engineer. Spang Power Electronics manufactures power control and automation systems with locations in the United States and Xiamen, China. The successful candidate will operate out of a major region in Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore), and must be available for significant travel throughout all Asian countries. A person holding a passport from outside of mainland China would be preferable due to the international travel requirements.

Job duties will include: identify customers and opportunities for our products in the Pacific Rim, management of customer relations, define and implement sales strategies for assigned accounts and territories, determine customer needs, develop application expertise on our products, quotation generation, submittal, follow-up and disposition, negotiation of purchase orders/change orders. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology is required. This individual will have 5 to 10 years of field sales experience in the power electronics or systems automation field. Must be fluent in verbal and written technical English communications, along with fluent verbal/written language skills in Mandarin Chinese. Additional Asian language skills a plus.
